The Carlson Law Firm Partner, Powell-Miller, Elected President of the Williamson County Bar Association
Round Rock, TX — The Carlson Law Firm is proud to announce that Cheryl Powell-Miller, Partner in our Round Rock office and a key member of our family law team, has been named President of the Williamson County Bar Association.
Cheryl, was elected to the Williamson County Bar Association Board in 2020 and has served for the past six years in various leadership roles. She will serve as President for the 2025-2026 Bar Year.
Cheryl is known for her ability to navigate complex family law cases with equal parts precision and empathy. Her reputation is built not just on her legal results, but on how she treats people along the way, with respect, candor and compassion. She brings a calm, commanding presence to the courtroom and to client conversations, often serving as both advocate and anchor during times of personal crisis.
“Being elected by my peers is a tremendous honor,” said Powell-Miller. “The legal community in Williamson County is strong, collaborative, and deeply committed to service. I’m excited to help continue that legacy and ensure that our Bar remains a space where professionalism and people both matter.”
In addition to Powell-Miller’s election, Emily Spjut, who works alongside Cheryl in The Carlson Law Firm’s Round Rock Family Law department, has been named Secretary of the Williamson County Young Lawyers Association.
