MLC Kavitha's Tweet on the Tunnel Accident

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kavitha tweeted about the accident at the Sri Shailam Left Canal SLBC Tunnel. She demanded that the National Dam Safety Authority immediately respond to the SLBC Tunnel accident and investigate how the accident occurred as soon as the work began. Kavitha expressed that it was extremely unfortunate that workers were injured in the incident where the roof of the SLBC Tunnel collapsed.

Kavitha fired at the fact that during KCR's tenure, 10 km of tunnel was dug without such an accident ever occurring. She questioned how such a major accident happened within just four days after the Congress government started the work. Who is responsible for this? Kavitha asked. She demanded that the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) respond to this incident. She also mentioned that over 9 km of tunnel work remains and urged to ensure that such accidents do not occur in the future, and better treatment should be provided to the injured workers.

Meanwhile, it is known that an accident occurred today morning at the SLBC Tunnel. A three-meter-long section of the roof collapsed in this incident. The accident occurred at the 14th kilometer of the left tunnel. About 50 workers had entered the tunnel during the first shift. At around 8:30 AM, while the workers were working, the roof suddenly collapsed, and debris and soil fell. This caused panic and fear among the workers.
